The Etiquette Children's Organisation is proposing to implement the project; Orphans Accessing Education Through Scholarship Support, reaching 95 Orphans in 3 Primary schools of Abeko, Chele and Palaet in Tubur subcounty . The campaign decision to prioritize these schools was due to a number of factors which include general performance of the schools, existence of high number of OVCs due to HIV/AIDs and GBV, the rural nature of the place being the furthest from the District headquarters, future cheaper options for exchange visits and learning from one another, proximity providing easy coordination and supervision by project staff and the team believed concentrating in one subcounty at a time would make it easier for the Partners to monitor and evaluate the project activities and its outcomes before cascading the good practices to other sub counties in Soroti District.
Education is a human right and indispensable for the exercise of other human rights. Quality education aims to ensure the development of a fully-rounded human being. It is one of the most powerful tools in lifting socially excluded children and adults out of poverty and into society.
