"THE SILENT WITNESSES"
A Journalist's Account of Nodding Syndrome in Northern Uganda

Greetings from Pat Robert LARUBI.
I am inviting you to be part of a transformational creative work, "The Silent Witnesses," a book project that tells how an investigative journalist, a freelance travel and life style photographer through his journalistic mission unmasked the plight of children battling Nodding Syndrome in Northern Uganda's districts of Omoro, Kitgum and Pader.

Here, an estimated 3,000 children are battling with this little known disease whose real cause and cure is still a mystery. Nodding Syndrome (NS), a disease that has baffled entomologist worldwide has continued to wreak havoc in our community with an approximate of 300 children said to have nodded their way into their early graves in outright silence. The voice of the remaining suffering children, survivors, parents, guardians and the community roars on.

Through this literature, you will be able to read about exclusive on ground stories of pain, sorrow and agony. A scan through government and private interventions, impediments and resilience of the community in dealing with the situation as documented by me, Pat Robert Larubi in my first literal work in a global call for support.
