Balikudembe Godfrey aged 25 was attacked with acid in 2019 at the age of 22 by unknown person who called his name when he was inside the house, it was raining outside and when he opened the door the person just poured acid on him and took off. He didnt recongnize the person and also the reason why he burnt him.

Godfrey's face was severely affected, his eyes were damaged, the nostrils got damaged, the mouth lost it's shape and the left ear got off. the acid wounds were treated but he has alot of complications, he can't eat well because the mouth over pains him since it lost shape and cannnot open very well. he is at a very high risk of losing his left eye if not worked on within a short time.

Before the acid attack, Godfrey was working as a Taxi co-driver (conductor) earning a living. After being discharged from hospital, he went back to his former boss who allowed him to resume work but due to the disfigurement, people started calling him names, at times they would get out of the vehicle after looking at his face which forced him to stop working. He went back to his parents, when time reached that the doctors had told him to go back for to hospital for review he failed because the parents didnt have money which worsened his eye condition.

Godfrey cannot sleep at all because of the terrible pain he feels in his left eye and mouth, he has reached out to me for support but as a single person and as Hope Care Rescue Mission this is too much for us without other people's support. The mouth is suppossed to be reconstructed, the left eye has to be opened well, for the doctors to be able to start the process of creating eye lids, shockets and also reconstruct the nostril. Alot of money is needed to cater for the surgery bills and he will need to visit varrious surgeons, such as eye specialits and plastic surgery specialist. it will involve carrying out varrious scans, examination test ,laboratory tests and also money will be needed to cater for medicine and other basic items..
