Dear Friends and Supporters,

I am writing to share a powerful and important film project that is close to our hearts. “Breaking The Taboo” is a film by Musa Mukiibi that takes on the challenges of teenage pregnancy and lack of access to menstrual hygiene products in the community of Kakoma, Gomba District in Uganda. The film follows the journey of a one Jane, a determined young woman who sets up a community program to provide menstrual products and education to girls, breaking the taboo and empowering them to take control of their health and future decisions. With your support, we have the potential to make a real and lasting impact in the lives of young girls in our community.

The funds that we raise will be used to cover the essential costs of production, including:
  • Hiring a talented film crew - Our goal is to bring together a team of passionate and experienced professionals who will work tirelessly to bring our vision to life. Your donations will help us attract the best talent and ensure that our film is of the highest quality.
  • Purchasing equipment - In order to capture the compelling stories of the girls in our community, we will need to invest in high-quality equipment, such as cameras, lighting, and sound equipment. Your contributions will help us purchase the necessary tools to bring our film to life.
  • Travel expenses to Kakoma - In order to bring our story to life, we need to travel to Kakoma and immerse ourselves in the community. Your support will help us cover the costs of transportation, accommodation, and meals while we are in Kakoma.
  • Post-Production costs - After we have captured the stories of the girls in our community, we will need to edit the film and add music, sound effects, and special effects. Your support will help us cover these costs and ensure that the film is of the highest quality.
  • Distribution and Marketing - In order to reach a wide audience and inspire change, we need to distribute and market the film effectively. Your support will help us cover the costs of promoting the film and reaching a global audience.

We believe that this film has the potential to inspire change and make a real difference in the lives of young girls in Kakoma. But we can’t do it alone. Your support is essential to making this project a reality.

Your donation will have a tangible impact on the lives of young girls in our community. With your support, we can help girls manage their periods with confidence and dignity, and empower them to make informed decisions about their health and futures.

You can support using your Visa card or just do a direct donation from your Mobile Money account more especially Airtel Money.
If you have any questions about our film project, please do not hesitate to reach out to the producer, Mr. Musa Mukiibi, at mukyb4musa@gmail.com or by phone/ WhatsApp at +256780795319.

Thank you for considering supporting our film project. We are confident that together, we can make a lasting impact in the lives of young girls in Kakoma.
