The Anthill Foundation annual Keep Her Safe drive: HER VOICE EMPOWERED is an annual effort working to impact young mothers and young people in bid to minimize teenage pregnancy that is currently at 25% in Uganda and repetitive pregnancies.

This drive caters to the 2nd phase of 2020/21 effort to address barriers girls at risk face that harm thier health, safety, shatter dreams or hinder achieving young set life goals. Cycle 1 run starting January ~ June 2020 and impacted over 60 young mothers.

Our target is girls of 9 - 19years, boys and men that are potential change agents that influence others to support girls achieve thier life goals in a safe and conducive environment.

This drive is working to;
1. Support host institutions caring for adolescent mothers to ensure they are safe, healthy and mentored.
2. Build community service linkages to better cater to girls at risk access assorted quality care.
3. Create awareness and call to action duty bearers on addressing adolescent reproductive health issues at different levels in order to increase support and action for young mothers.
4. Develop support structures to end stigma young mothers and thier families face.

We greatly believe that the negative cycle and barriers adolescent girls face can be broken and above all second chances for young mothers do produce success stories that impact our communities particularly the much younger generation.

Raising a healthy generation is possible with collective support. Her DREAM, her HEALTH and SAFETY matter to us all. Join Anthill Foundation movement working to impact young mothers in Uganda!

    Vital for us all to support our young generation

  • A jounrey of over 10 weeks has led us to the birth of 10 businesses worth funding designed by the adolescent girls.

    The weekly support meetings and trainings have realized change among the different clusters and the pregnancy crisis shelter managers recommend continued support for more girls.

    Under Remnant Generation, community outreaches have been scheduled to impact 10 villages around Busega area. These outreaches will help reach atleast 100 more adolescent girls at risk of marriage, teenage pregnancy or already young mothers. Key issues to cover include;
    1. Hold dialogues on Violence against women and girls and the support structures to utilize when in need of services or information
    2. Cover reproductive health and rights particularly menstrual health management, HIV/AIDS (ending stigma and discrimination )
    3. Build support circles to keep girls safe, healthy and Empowered
