GIBEH Uganda launched its Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management campaign this year after identification of menstrauation as a key challenge and barrier to girl child education in Uganda. We further realized that menstruatl health of the young people can best be protected through access; that is making sure that every girl has access to sanitary wear to ensure that they go through this period smoothly, education that is teaching them what menstruation is and what to expect during this period and further promote de-stigmatization to ensure that taboos and stigma around menstruation are broken.

We intend to undertake trainings on menstrual health and hygiene, safe and proper disposal mechanisms of sanitary wear together with povision of sanitary materials for as many communities as possible. We shall appreciate every support given during this campaign.
