Help Thomas Study to become qualified Psychologist.
There are backlog in access to mental health services in Northern Uganda couples with post conflict recovery era, yet there are significant barriers to getting Psychologist on to the front line by providing study opportunities to this vital helping profession.

Overall and with moderate level of certainty, the prevalence of any mental disorders in Uganda was 22.9% in children and 24.2% in adults. Source: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Currently Thomas is pursuing Bachelor of Counseling Psychology at "The Sacred Heart University of Gulu" a Catholic University in Gulu - Northern Uganda. A semester cost 1,600,000/= ugx and the course is for 3 years ( each year there are 2 semester).

The first two semesters matters alots at this beginning of the course.

Northern Ugandans bear mental scars which include post-traumatic stress disorders, depression, epilepsy, alcohol abuse, acute psychotic disorders, and other chronic illness with very few access to helping professionals in the region which if not addressed creates opportunities for violent in the family and society, increase in hopeless situations and suicide. There is need for Counseling Psychologists Professionals.
