We are a group of persons also living with spinal injuries in an association that advocates for the people living with disabilities due to paralysis.
We are under Spinal Injuries Association,(SIA).
We started this campaign to help people like us who are in a more vulnerable state than some of us even if all of us are literally in the same situation.

Persons living with spinal injuries are of two categories.
1. Quardroplegic.
This is a kind of injury that affects a person"s movement right from the neck to the legs. It can be either complete or incomplete.
An incomplete spinal injury is where one is partially paralysed maybe on one side of the body.
A complete injury is where one is completely paralysed at the area of injury.
2. Paraplegic.
This is the kind of Injury that starts from either the chest or the waste down. It also can be either complete or incomplete.
Most people who are paralysed are not able to do most things for themselves. They lose energy to do any kind of heavy work.
As for the quards they can do nothing especially given the fact that most of our members are the kind that maybe gor injured while digging a toilet, or building a house or any of those jobs that pay in wages or a hand to mouth kind of thing. Maybe a driver who got an accident or one who got an accident before finishing school or maybe they were actually working but lost the job as the result of the injury.
When their lives suddenly get to change like this, they find themselves not doing much.

To top it all up we have been denied the right to accessibility. Mush as we may want to fend for self, alot of things hinder .I will not dwell on this much.

Our members who have this kind of injury that is actually permanent according to the doctors suffer alot of secondary disabilities some of which are fortal. Bedsores will kill if not taken care of fast. There are many medical accessories that a person with a spinal injury needs. All these cost money which our members donot have.

Most live below poverty level with relatives who cannot do much either. I can't tell how most survived before this pendamic but we know what this time means and its the reason we are here seeking your kind help to reach out to them with food and medical accessories.
We may need more than 10,000,000, but we can always start somewhere and here we are.
