As a nutritionist, the most painful part of my job is going to the community and wishing that I could do more to help.
The children in the picture are all siblings staying in Kiogoma a village in Kiryandongo district.
Their mother left a few months ago and were left with a father who probably tries his best but unable to fend for and feed his children.
Young as they are they have the responsiblity to look for and prepare the food to eat, in the picture, one of them is pounding cassava which would later be cooked.
The youngest child was found malnourished with oedema grade 3. Because these children have to look for what to eat with little success, its just a matter of time that they could all get malnourished. Their living conditions are equally terrible, no beddings and clothings.

I'm therefore calling upon all those who would like to support, feed and clothe these children and more to donate to the cause.
Thank you
