"Save Emma" is a campaign to raise a wareness and fundraise for treatment and transplant operation of Emma.
Emma is the last born of a family of (4) boys. He is an orphan, his father passed away in 2019 and his mother is a retired teacher. He was a healthy boy with no previous history of any major illness working a longside a charity organisation called Kaleke ka some and other organisations helping with their branding and IT work. In March 2020, he was first admitted at Kampala Hospital with high blood pressure and a week later discharged with hypertension medication but his blood pressure remained high after a week of monitoring from home so he went back to Kampala Hospital. He was then diagonised with kidney infecton and given medication to go home but his condition kept detorriating, his whole body was bloating and movement became challenging. For the 3rd time in March Emma was taken back to Kampala hospital in a life threatening condition and he was then diagonised with kidney failure, but with no specialized treatment in that hospital he was transfered to Nsambya Hospital in early April 2020 where he was admitted and started his treatment for kidney failure. Emma currently commutes (3) a week for dialysis treatment treatment costing Ugx 1,300,000 weekly. Through donations of well wishers he has been able to get treatment but needs Ugx 150M (USD 37,000) to have a kidney transplant operation done in India, the process of vetting a potential donor is already on-going at Nsambya Hospital. Your support will enable Emma keep getting treatment at Nsambya Hospital as preparation are made for his operation to be done.
