Working with children in rural schools to realize their self-worth Jars of Clay is working with children in rural schools to complement the work of teachers and parents to reinforce confidence and belief in their abilities.
The mentorship programme aims to transform the mindset of rural children from a position of helplessness and lack of self-belief to an attitude of self-esteem, dignity and purpose. Through group discussions and sessions, the children are challenged to look within themselves to discover, refine and celebrate their unique qualities and God given talents.
In 2020, as part of the mentorship activities, success cards and motivational gifts were distributed to 150 pupils in three schools: Katerema Primary School, P’Oyem Primary School and Iyolwa Primary School.
