Stuart Tibaweswa is a documentary photographer in Uganda. His interest in photography started when his father gave him a point and shoot camera. That experience quickly developed into a passion for observing, questioning, and caring about other people through visual language. Stuart. The COVID-19 crisis has put financial constraints on his work like many small business owners. Most of his work and assignments were canceled and he can’t continue reaching many with visual stories. Being a documentary photographer, Stuart believes that one picture says 1,000 words and that the international media has not told many African stories on the impact of COVID-19. This is why he needs a support to enable him continue telling touching stories through documentary photography.
